About
The Genevac EZ-2 4.0 Elite is a high-performance parallel evaporator system designed to efficiently remove solvents from samples through evaporation. It uses advanced vacuum and centrifugal technology to evaporate a wide range of solvents, including volatile organic compounds and aqueous solutions, without overheating or degrading sensitive samples. The EZ-2 Elite features a dry scroll pump and is optimized for removal of even the highest boiling point solvents (> 165 °C), such as DMSO and NMP.
Solvent Guidelines and Sample Holder Options
Solvent Compatibility
SP Genevac evaporators are robust systems designed to be resistant to the most common solvents and acids used within the chemistry laboratory, including TFA and HCl. However, the Genevac is not compatible with the following:
• Carbon disulfide
• Diethyl ether
• 1,2-Dimethoxyethane
• 2-Ethoxyethanol
• Hydrogen cyanide
• Pentane
• Triethylsilane
Sample formats
Sample holders for the following formats are available:
• Vials: 40, 30, 20, and 8-mL sizes
• Test tubes: 16, 18, and 25-mm diameter and up to 150 mm length
• Centrifuge tubes: 50-mL size
